Steph Granillo is an Austin-based multidisciplinary artist. Her work is a fusion of traditional mediums in nontraditional forms. With a focus on playful expression, her works are bursting with color and energy, inviting viewers to explore and discover new perspectives.
Although all her mediums influence each other, Steph’s primary passion is improvisational quilting with repurposed textiles. Her most commonly used textiles include clothing and retired household linens that are stained or damaged in a way that would otherwise lead them to a landfill. She finds inspiration in the stories that discarded textiles hold and in the joy and beauty that can be found in unexpected places.
When she is not working on art projects, Steph can be found reading, making waffles, or trying to identify all the birds that visit her garden.
